What leaves your phone: nothing you did not send
Plippo Baby has no account, no servers and no analytics; the only thing that leaves the phone without the parent sending it is the store purchase.
This page does not repeat the promise. It lists where each kind of data lives, and how you can check the claims yourself.
Where your data lives
| What | Where it lives | When it moves | Who moves it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your logs — feeds, sleep, kicks, growth, notes | In the app's own storage on your phone | Only in an export, a backup or a text you share | You |
| Photos you add | In the app's own storage on your phone | In a full backup, or in a book or card you save | You |
| The book and the cards (PDF) | Made on your phone | When you save, send or print them | You |
| Backup file | A folder you choose — on the phone, or a cloud folder if you pick one | When you export, or when automatic backup writes to that folder | You, by choosing the folder |
| The Pro purchase | Google Play or the App Store | When you buy or restore Pro | The store — it tells the app only whether Pro was bought |
The app also keeps its data out of iCloud Backup and Android's own backup on purpose, so a record of your child does not end up in a cloud nobody chose.
How can you check it yourself?
- Switch on airplane mode and use the app for a day. Logging, charts and the book all work; only buying Pro needs the store.
- Read the privacy labels the stores publish: the App Store lists Plippo Baby as “Data Not Collected”, and Google Play's Data safety section says no data is collected and none is shared.
- On Android, look at the permissions the app declares: there is no internet permission. A permission viewer or an independent app scanner shows the list.
Moving to a new phone
Because nothing is on a server, the move is yours to make: export a full backup on the old phone and restore it on the new one. That file is the only copy — the steps are on the support page.
A partner, without a shared account
A shared live account would need a server holding your child's data, so there is none. You send what you choose instead — the night as text, or an export — and both phones can also keep their own log.
Questions people ask
Do I need an e-mail address?
No. There is no sign-in and no profile.
Is my data in iCloud or Google backup?
No; the app excludes its data from both on purpose. Use export or automatic backup to a folder you choose.
What do the stores learn?
Only whether Pro was bought. Nothing about your child.
Privacy aside: Plippo Baby is a log, not medical advice. Questions about your child's health belong with your midwife, doctor or paediatrician.
