Plippo Baby

A feeding log built for 3 a.m., one-handed

Last updated:

Plippo Baby logs breastfeeding by side (left, right or both), bottles and pumping, and can share everything since bedtime as plain text.

The daily log is free for one child, with no account, and it keeps working with the network off.

Which side was it?

A breastfeed is logged as Left breast, Right breast or Both breasts. While the timer runs you can switch sides without stopping it, and the feed is kept as two parts — how long on the left, how long on the right.

Bottles, pumping and the stash

A bottle goes in with its amount, in ml or oz. Pumping keeps the left and right volumes apart, and what you pump goes into the milk stash: a bottle marked as pumped milk takes from it, formula does not, so the number you see is what is actually on hand. Milk that never reached your baby can be marked as discarded.

Without opening the app

A running timer can be stopped from the lock screen — on iPhone through its Live Activity. A home-screen widget shows the time since the last feed, sleep and pump: the question you ask most at night, answered at a glance.

Handing over the night

In the morning the app offers a card for it — Handing over the night? — and in the evening the same for the day. It puts everything since bedtime into one plain text — feeds, sleep and nappies with their times — and you send it to whichever app you choose. Nothing leaves the phone until you pick one. The last 24 hours are free; further back is part of Pro.

What the other parent receives — a made-up night, in the app's own format. Your text depends on what you logged and on your phone's language and clock.

What is free, and what Pro adds

The whole daily log is free for one child: feeds, sleep, nappies, pumping and the stash. Pro is a one-time purchase that adds more than one child, nap and feed predictions worked out from your child's own rhythm, the handover further back than 24 hours, and logging without opening the app — Siri, Control Center and the Action button on iPhone, Quick Settings tiles and app shortcuts on Android.

Questions people ask

Can I record which side?

Yes: left, right or both, and you can switch sides while the timer runs.

Can my partner take over the night?

Share everything since bedtime as text to any app you choose. There is no shared live account, because that would need servers.

Does the app say how much my baby should drink?

No. It records what you log. Questions about feeding belong with your midwife, lactation consultant or paediatrician.

Is it a subscription?

No. The log is free for one child; Pro is a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

Plippo Baby records what you log and shows it back to you. Questions about feeding, amounts or weight belong with your midwife, lactation consultant or paediatrician.
