Who is responsible

Plippo Baby is made by Patrick Schad. Contact for any privacy question: hi@plippo.app. The trader details required for European app-store distribution are published on the App Store and Google Play listings.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal data. There is no account to create, no profile, no email address on file, no device identifier, no advertising ID, and no usage or crash telemetry of any kind.

Where your data lives

Everything you log — your children, pregnancies, feeds, sleep, nappies, pumping, growth measurements, health entries, teeth, milestones, notes, letters, photos you attach and the app's settings — is written to storage that belongs to the app alone, on your device. Other apps cannot read it. We cannot read it.

• Android: the app sets allowBackup="false", so nothing it stores is copied into an Android or Google account backup.
• iOS: the app's data is deliberately excluded from your iCloud Backup. A new iPhone restored from iCloud will open Plippo Baby empty — by design, so nothing of your child's ever sits on a cloud you did not choose.

The consequence is worth stating plainly: a backup file you make yourself is the only way to move your data to a new phone. Settings has an export, and an automatic backup you can point at a folder you choose.

Network access

The app does not talk to any server we run, because there is none. On Android it does not even declare the internet permission for itself.

The one exception is the optional Pro purchase. That transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing or Apple's App Store, using the store client already on your phone. The store tells the app whether Pro was purchased; the app tells the store nothing about you or your child. Your payment details are handled by Google or Apple and are never seen by the app. Google and Apple process that transaction under their own privacy policies. Android additionally checks with the Play Store whether an app update is available — a local check through the Play client, carrying no data of yours.

Third parties and advertising

There are no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no attribution or A/B-testing services, no crash reporters and no social-media SDKs in this app. Nothing profiles you and nothing is sold.

Notifications

Reminders — nap and feed windows, appointments, medication — are scheduled and delivered locally by your phone. There are no push notifications, so no server can send you anything.

Children's data

Plippo Baby is a tool for parents and carers, intended for adults. Information about a child is entered by the adult using the app and remains on that adult's device under their control. Because nothing is transmitted or collected, no child's data is ever processed by us.

Your rights

European data-protection law (GDPR) gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability over personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase. In practice you already exercise these rights directly:

• Access and portability: export everything from Settings as a file you keep.
• Correction: edit or delete any entry in the app at any time.
• Erasure: deleting the app removes its data from your device. Uninstalling deletes the only copy — export first if you want to keep it.

You may also complain to your national data-protection authority, though with no processing on our side there will be little for them to examine.

Security

Your data is protected by your device: app-private storage that other apps cannot reach, and the encryption your phone applies while it is locked. Use a device passcode or biometric lock. Anything you export yourself — a backup file, a CSV, a PDF — leaves that protection and is then as safe as wherever you put it.

Not medical advice

Plippo Baby is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Predictions and insights describe what you logged; they are general information and not a diagnosis or clinical advice. Talk to your midwife, doctor or paediatrician about your child's health.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date above. A change that affected what the app does with your data would also arrive as a visible change in the app itself — the promise above is built into how it is written, not just described here.
