A kick counter that keeps the count for you

Last updated:

Plippo Baby's kick counter records one movement per tap and keeps each session's count and duration on the phone; it is free and works offline.

It is a counting aid and nothing more: it holds the numbers so you do not have to keep them in your head, and it never tells you what they mean.

What does it record?

Each session keeps its date, the number of movements you tapped and how long it ran. Under the counter you see Today, Avg time and This week, and below them your Recent sessions — the same words the app uses.

How do you log a session?

  1. Open the kick counter. The big button says Tap to start.
  2. Tap once for every movement you feel. The count and the time since you started stay on the screen.
  3. Stop the session when you are done. It is saved with its date, count and duration.
  4. Look back under Recent sessions and This week whenever you want to see them side by side.

Where do the kicks show up later?

The day you first felt them can be kept as a milestone, “First kicks felt”, on the same timeline that carries on after the birth. Nothing has to move to a baby app later: it already is the baby app.

Free, no account, offline

The kick counter is part of the free app, like the rest of the pregnancy log. There is no sign-in, and the sessions stay in the app's own storage on your phone — it works the same in airplane mode.

Questions people ask

Is the kick counter free?

Yes. Kicks and contractions are part of the free app, with no account.

Does the app assess the movements?

No. It counts and records what you tap; it does not judge it. If movements feel reduced or different, contact your midwife or doctor right away.

Can I show my sessions at an appointment?

Yes. They are on your phone with date, count and duration, so you can show them.

Does it work without internet?

Completely. Nothing is uploaded.

The app says it in its own words, too: a counting aid only — not medical advice. Questions about your baby's movements belong with your midwife or doctor.
